Water Lilies

Water lilies are a family of flowering aquatic plants that grow best in tropical to temperate climates. The flowers and leaves of water lilies rest on the surface of bodies of freshwater, while its roots are buried under the mud at the floor of the water. The flowers can be orange, pink, white, or yellow, and change colors throughout their blooming. Water lilies are native to eastern North America, and are ornamental, usually displayed in pond gardens. Its bulb and roots are used for medicine that can help treat inflammation and diarrhea.
