Mango

Mangifera indica

Mango

Indigenous to India, mangos were first grown over thousands of years ago, and can now be found. When ripe, the skin of the sweet fruit is a mix of yellows, reds, and oranges, and the inside is an orange-yellow. Interestingly, mangoes are in the same family as cashews and pistachios. They are related in the sense that they are all naturally covered with resin that keeps predators away.
