Avocado
Persea americana
Avocados are a large fruit native to (most likely) Mexico and Guatemala. Its skin ranges in color from green, to brown, to black, depending on the variety of avocado. This fruit is actually considered to be a berry, and has one large, spherical seed in its core. The creamy insides of the fruit around the seed is a green-yellow color, and has a buttery, earthy taste. Every part of an avocado is edible, including its enormous seed! Avocados are very high in fiber and include many healthy fats, and its popularity shows how delicious it tastes while still being healthy!
